TIMBER ELECTRIC UNDERFLOOR HEATING

The Comfort Heat under timber heating mats are ideal for small to large areas with a floating floor system, as the thin foil mats are undetectable underfoot and require no sand and cement screed or adhesive. A popular option for living areas as under timber heating is safe, takes up no space and warms quickly in around 60 mins.

The undertimber foil mats are taped directly onto the timber underlay with a floating floor laid over the top. The Comfort Heat foil mat system is designed to evenly distribute heat under the timber creating a blanket of radiant heat from the ground up.

Due to timber being a naturally good insulator, under timber heating can require supplementary heating based on the heating requirements and heat loss of an area. i.e. outside temperature, insulation, window glazing, room type.

INSTALLATION

The under timber foil mat is taped down on top of the underlay before the timber is laid. Unlike under tile or in slab heating cables, under timber foil mats are not installed within a concrete bed and can be laid up to 300mm off walls, fixtures and furniture within a floor area.

CABLE TECHNOLOGY

The Comfort Heat under timber foil mats consists of a twin conducting heating element sandwiched between two layers of reinforced aluminium foil, providing an even distribution of heat.

The under timber foil mat has a heat output of 140W/m². Available in 500mm wide, factory terminated lengths ranging from 2mts up to 24mts.
