WOOD FIRED STOVE

APPLICATIONS

Wood fired stoves are a popular 'off the grid' hydronic heating system, an economic and cost effective option for regional projects where wood is freely available.

STOVE TECHNOLOGY

Stoves required  an inbuilt water jacket or ‘wet back’. There are many wood fired stovesavailable in the market  that are suitable for this installation. Comfort Heat does not supply or install wood fired stoves.

HEAT OUTPUT

The heat output of a wood stove is unregulated so requires a suitably sized storage tank. The tank is required to be open style with a copper header tank.

INSTALLATION

Wood fired stove installations require a storage tank, header tank, mixing pump station and manifold. Your heated floor area will define the required storage tank size. The minimum size tank required is 400L-600L+

These specifications are based on a stand alone hydronic floor heating system. If you are interested in a mixed system that combines domestic hot water or pool heating, please contact our office for more details.
